What are Property Promotion Ads?


Property Promotion Ads is an advertising product offered by Google, which drives visibility and traffic to the property by putting it on top of search results, in front of travelers searching Google for a place to stay in the location of the property.




Where do they appear?


Property Promotion Ads can appear in:

  • Google Maps: One to two ads on top of the list to the left panel of the Google Map search results by destination. For example, hotels in London or hotels when the user is searching near to their location.

  • SERP and Google Travel: When searching for hotels in London, a Google Travel widget will appear in SERP, in the middle of the organic search results. A click on “View XXXX hotels” leads to the Google Travel panel with a different design from Google Maps, where one or two ads will appear on the top of the list.

  • Mobile Searches: Both for Google Maps and Google Travel, the ads can appear on top of the list or throughout the list.




When to use Property Promotion Ads?


Whenever you want to gain more visibility and exposure. This is ideal for new openings and refurbished hotels as well as beneficial for periods of low occupancy, special offers at the property or special events in the area.




What bidding strategies are available for PPA campaigns?


You can create a PPA campaign using one of the following strategies:

  • Manual CPC
  • CPC %
  • Pay Per Booking
  • Pay Per Stay
