We are excited to share about the upcoming upgrade for Bing campaigns on Click starting 4 September 2023 (UTC +0), aligning with the latest back-end API update to Lodging Campaigns.



What‘s new

What's New in the Upgrade:


  • Updated Bidding Strategies:

First Position Share (FPS) and Visible Position Share (VPS) bidding strategies will now be available for Bing, replacing the Average Position bidding strategy. This allows the inclusion of Bing into cross-channel campaigns that are leveraging common bidding strategies.

  • Increased Targeting Options

The device is selectable at the campaign level.

  • Additional Bidding Levers

Multipliers will also be supported for Bing - expected rollout in early Q4 2023.


Upcoming

Timeline:


Upgrades will be released on September 4, 2023 (UTC +0) and are expected to be completed within 24 hours. While some downtime will be expected for Bing campaigns, other functionalities on Click will not be affected.


Improvements

Action Required:


  • Migration will be executed automatically

Bing only Average Position campaigns: Campaigns will be converted to a VPS 75% goal. Recommend to monitor traffic post-migration.

Cross-channel Average Position campaigns: Bing will be removed from the campaign due to incompatibility. Recommend to create new Bing campaigns post-migration.

  • In the meantime, refrain from creating new campaigns using Average Position for Bing as they will be invalid with the upgrade.
