Introduction

Google Geo Targeting means location targeting, which allows you to serve advertisement to users in a particular geographical region.

For example, assume you're advertising for a chain of hotels. Without location targeting, your advertisement would show in all regions worldwide, and your advertisement might receive clicks from users in regions where you have no hotel locations. This generates cost while providing no possibility of a return on the investment. With location targeting, your campaigns show advertisement only in regions where you have open hotels. This approach also allows you to directly target customers searching locally for hotels.

How does it work?

You can create and manage your Geo location group list on the Geo Location Management page. When you create a Google Campaign afterwards, you can select a predefined combination within the marketplace. Check How to Create a Geo Location Group for details.

Benefits of using this feature

The Geo-targeting feature can help you optimize your advertising and help you scientifically access to right customers in a specific area. Therefore, this particular type of market setting can be beneficial to increase your return on investment (ROI).
