In this article, we will walk you through how to create your first SP Campaign.



Prerequisites 

Request Access from the platform or get the access to SP Campaigns by contacting directly your Digital Marketing Manager or Implementation Manager.

Instructions

Step 1  Create Campaign

Choose Campaign Management under Bidding & Budget, then click Create Campaign.


Step 2 Create a SP Campaign

Choose TripAdvisor Sponsored Ads under Destination Ads.


Step 3 Set the Campaign

  • Select Placement (Hotel): You can select hotels according to the B&M Ratio (sortable & filterable).

Note:
B&M Ratio: Data that comes from TripAdvisor MBL report. We recommend running SP campaigns for hotels with B&M ratio exceeding 50%. For remaining hotels, you will still be able to add to Sponsored Ads, but may have limited exposure because of non-competitive prices.
  • Select Market & Device: Can select market and device in Sponsored Ads.
Note:
Market named "DaoDao" is not available in Sponsored Ads currently, you can select this market, but we will not push bids of all the placements under this market, at the same time, the performance is not available as well.
  • Priority: If you have selected placements which have already existed in other Sponsored Ads campaigns, you should set the priority.
  • Bid Strategy: 
    • Manual CPC: you can input the default bid, this bid will apply to all the placements in this campaign (you can change each placement bid in campaign-placement page)
    • BMP: stands for Bid Management Platform, an automated bidding strategy offered by TripAdvisor which allows you to maximize your revenue for the given budget.



Outcome

You can check performance data on campaign list/campaign detail page once you complete the setting.
