Introduction

Property Promotion Ads (PPA) is an advertising product offered by Google, which drives visibility and traffic to the property by putting it on top of search results, in front of travellers searching Google for a place to stay in the location of the property.


 

How does it work?

Property Promotion Ads can appear in:

  • Google Maps: 1 to 2 ads on top of the list, on the left panel of the Google map search results by destination, for example “hotels in London”, or “hotels” when the user is searching in a nearby to them location.
  • SERP & Google Travel: when searching for “hotels in London”, a Google Travel widget will appear in SERP, in the middle of the organic search results. A click on View xxxx hotels leads to Google Travel panel with a different design from Google Maps, where 1 or 2 ads will appear on the top of the list.
  • Mobile searches: both for maps and Google Travel, the ads can appear on top of the list or throughout the list.
