Introduction

In this article, we will walk you through all the setting details of Trivago commission campaigns.

How does it work?

Hotels

Select the hotels to include in the campaign.

Markets

Select the markets (POS) to include in the campaign.

Note:
This setting can not overlap with the Scheduled/Active/Paused Trivago commission campaigns within the same date range.
Eg: if you created a commission campaign including Belgium market and the schedule is November 1th-November 31st, then you can not select Belgium into a new commission campaign with the same or overlapping schedule.

Objectives

Select the campaign strategy.

  • Only Pay Per Booking (PPB) bidding strategy is currently available for this campaign type.
  • Default Commission Amount input the commission amount in % that you would pay per each booking.
Notes:
① If your property is managed by DerbySoft Trivago account, you need to select between 10% and 15% of default commission values.
② If you have an independent Trivago account, the value you input in this setting needs to meet the minimum value that Trivago established for each POS.

Schedule

Select the Date Range for your campaign.

  • For Commission Program, Trivago only accepts updates on the 1st day of each month, therefore the system will allow you to select only the whole month for the campaign schedule.
  • If you want to run this campaign for several months, you would need to create several commission campaigns and set a schedule for each one of them.
Note:
All the campaign settings will be frozen 1 day ahead of the Start Date. That means if you create a campaign and the start date is 1st of Nov, you won’t be able to change the campaign settings on 31st of Oct.

Campaign Status

when you create a new commission campaign, by default, the status will be set to "Scheduled".
