Introduction
Yahoo - Branded Hotel Ads is a new type of Paid Search: It will Boost your hotels' visibility and bookings effortlessly with Branded Hotel Name Ads, ensuring top search result spots through smart, data-driven strategies on Yahoo Channel.
How to Create the Yahoo - Branded Hotel Ads
Steps
Go to the Paid Search Campaign List page
- Bidding -> Paid Search section, click the Create Campaign button at the upper right corner on the Paid Search Campaign List page
Select Campaign Type and Campaign Sub-Type
- Select the Paid Search and then Campaign Subtype to Yahoo - Branded Hotel Ads
Complete the Settings step
- Fill in your Campaign name in the Basic info
- Fill in the Placement.
- Hotels: Only can select the hotels which have completed the URL on the Content - Hotel Profiles page
- Market: Choose which markets to target
- Devices: Desktop, Mobile, Tablet
- Budget & Schedule: Be able to define on which level you would like to spend the money.
- Unlimited: the campaign budget spending would be unlimited
- Campaign: you can define a campaign's exclusive budget. When the campaign cost is nearly spent out (estimated left days <= 2), click would pause the campaign.
- Hotel: you can define a default hotel budget, and later update it on the Campaign details - Hotel page. When the campaign - hotel cost is nearly spent out (estimated left days <= 2) we will pause the hotel in this campaign.
Review the Keywords and the Negative Keywords
- Keywords/Negative Keywords: they will all follow the same rule of Google - Branded Hotel Ads. For Yahoo - Branded Hotel Ads, we will only generate the Japanese version Keyword.
- You can review the System/Chain Negative Keyword List and be able to enable or pause to use of the Keyword.
Link Ads with the Campaign
- You can select the Search Type of Ads to link with this Campaign.
- The Ads order in this list means the priority, the ads at the top will have the higher priority to be shown on the Channel side.
- Schedule (Coming Soon): Display the Ads schedule and you can review when it will be alive on the Channel side.
- Hotels: Display how many hotels selected in this campaign are covered in that Ads
- JA: Display how many hotels selected in this campaign have Japanese version Ads in that Ads
- Add Extensions.
There is only Callout and Sitelinks are available on Yahoo
Review the Ads and Create the Campaign
Review the ads by Hotels and the Languages.
Be able to switch to Component View and review the Asset linked with the Ads.
Be able to switch to other devices to pre-review the Ads

How to Update the Yahoo - Branded Hotel Ads
Steps
- Go to Bidding -> Paid Search section, find the campaign you would like to edit.
- Click the Campaign name to go to the Campaign details page.
- On the Settings tab, you can edit the Destinations, Markets, Languages, Objective, Budget, Schedule and the Campaign Status
- On the Ads tab, you can update the linked Ads
- On the Extensions tab, you can update the Extensions

How to Check the Performance
- You can check the performance data on the Campaign section
- You can also check the performance data on Reporting -> Report Catalogue.
